Viasat and AWS: Resilient tactical edge capability
Viasat in partnership with AWS deployed a resilient tactical edge capability where applications, like real-time image recognition on a live video feed, that require reliable, high-bandwidth communication and high-powered computing can be used in war by fighters in combat. The joint capability fused different connectivity pipes (dual band Ku/Ka SATCOM, our LTE, and local RF net) to enable high-bandwidth capability out to the tactical edge with AWS Snowball Edge.
