Understanding Enterprise Readiness for SIEM with GenAI and Agentic AI
Cloud-native Security Incident and Event Management (SIEM) solutions that take advantage of advances in generative AI (GenAI) and agentic AI are potentially more effective at delivering strong cybersecurity outcomes than legacy on-premises SIEMs. Drivers of improvement include more powerful threat detection, deeper data analytics capabilities, and better automation for incident response workflows and intuitive insights. This report examines organizational readiness to incorporate AI into their SOC based on a survey of IT and security professionals. It found a broad desire for the kind of functionality that cloud-native SIEMs offer. Even when respondents are worried about their ability to deploy AI, cloud-native SIEM capabilities have the potential to address their concerns.
