Mental Health at Work: 2024 Trends and Predictions with Mercer, Buzzfeed, and Headspace

Headspace recently launched its fifth annual Workforce Attitudes Toward Mental Health report. It revealed a number of interesting trends facing employees, benefits leaders, and CEOs alike:

  • Nearly half of employees feel a sense of dread at work at least once a week
  • 97% of employees saying global events, like war, economic uncertainty, and acts of violence impact their mental health at work
  • 75% of global employees worry that their leaders will cut back on mental health and benefits support in a recession

These trends demonstrate the need to do more to support employees today, despite promising advancements in mental health at work.
