Microsoft 365 Security: A Deep Dive Into The Challenges of Governance & License Management

When IT teams become overwhelmed, security governance suffers. Organizations are well aware of the security issues they have, and they simply lack the capacity to address them. This report identifies the most common challenges Microsoft 365 admins face. On average, the companies we studied have 40,736 employees and range from 1,000 to 400,000 users. Even companies with higher numbers of admins (the top 40% of those studied) struggled to ensure consistent security policies. If IT teams reduce their administrative and workload burden, they are better positioned to tackle security governance.
