This fireside chat, based on the Harvard Business Review Analytic Services briefing paper, “”Navigating the Generative AI Landscape,”” will feature Alex Clemente of HBR Analytic Services and Brian Stevens of Red Hat. The discussion will focus on practical strategies for organizations looking to initiate or expand their generative AI (gen AI) journey. They will discuss how to assess an organization’s AI maturity and provide insights into the current gen AI landscape. The speakers will also share stories and lessons from chief information officers and business leaders who are using AI and machine learning to transform their organizations. The session aims to provide C-level executives and IT decision-makers with a practical guide to addressing common implementation challenges, identifying key use cases, and understanding the role of cloud infrastructure in scaling gen AI initiatives.

Alex Clemente is the founding managing director of Harvard Business Review Analytic Services, an independent research unit within Harvard Business Review Group, that conducts research and comparative analysis on management challenges and emerging business opportunities for corporate sponsors. He was previously the associate publisher of Harvard Business Review in charge of global sales and marketing. Prior to joining Harvard Business Publishing, Clemente was senior VP of sales and marketing for CFO Magazine/The Economist Group and prior to that senior director of international advertising for USA Today. He is a member of the Harvard University Analytics Staff Consortium and a former board member of the International Advertising Association of New York. He appears frequently, presenting research findings, on HBR Analytic Services Webinars via HBR.org and live events.

Brian Stevens
Senior Vice President and AI CTO

Brian Stevens is Red Hat’s Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for AI, where he drives the company’s vision for an open, hybrid AI future. His work empowers enterprises to build and deploy intelligent applications anywhere, from the datacenter to the edge. As Red Hat’s CTO of Engineering (2001-2014), Brian was central to the company’s initial growth and the expansion of its portfolio into cloud, middleware, and virtualization technologies.
After helping scale Google Cloud as its VP and CTO, Brian’s passion for transformative technology led him to become CEO of Neural Magic, a pioneer in software-based AI acceleration.
