The State of IoT Security
Our world is becoming increasingly connected, and the Internet of Things (IoT) is at the forefront of this revolution. For example, the latest “Emerging Technology Trends Survey” from GlobalData, which surveyed 1,700 senior executives worldwide, reveals that 59% of respondents have already begun investing in lot, with an additional 40% expected to ramp up their loT investments in the coming 12 months!
This increased connectivity, however, comes with a heightened risk to our security. Many loT devices lack the necessary built-in security controls to defend against threats, leaving them vulnerable to attack. The limited computational capacity and constrained environment of these devices mean that security controls often come up short.
