Predictive Performance Engineering

Can your heavy equipment development process keep up with the rapidly evolving construction, mining, and agricultural industries? More than any other time in history, heavy equipment manufacturers are being challenged to reshape the industries they serve. Stricter government regulations for safety and sustainability are being implemented globally, putting pressure on manufacturers to develop alternative fuel powertrains that deliver the same level of performance as traditional systems while protecting the environment. The Stage V emission standards, adopted by the EU Parliament in July 2016, tightened restrictions on non-road engines and equipment and set stricter limits on emissions of particulate matter (PM). Stage V, phased over several years, went into effect on January 1, 2019, for all sales. Similarly, by executive order N-79-20, the State of California established a plan to tighten restrictions beyond US Tier 4 with a goal of zero emissions for off-road vehicles and equipment by 2035.
